INVITATION to READ the WHOLE BIBLE in 40 DAYS & 40 NIGHTS: FINAL UPDATE, p. 7 | |

Quoting: Steffenfield I have a video/audiobook reading of the entire King James Bible on YouTube if this might help anyone. It's really good and put together quite nicely. :) Some people like to listen to the Bible. Know some who have long commutes who listen to it on their way to and from work. |

Quoting: bootobin And once you've proven to yourself how it's been changed over the years, you'll get some idea why the world is so screwed up today. Your hearts may be in the right place but you're allowing yourselves to be deceived. Not sure if this project will do more harm than good. Hard pass. I'd rather just read Proverbs, then the book of John. Then probably Gen 1:1, for nostalgia. If people followed the basics we would be better off. Jesus sad for us to love God, our neighbor and to even love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. It’s all about love. Don’t hurt anyone including ourselves. Let God have vengeance. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75415307 Even if you don't believe, they do (the bad guys). The people who worship satan all night, the ones causing most of our problems, they spend all day convincing people Jesus and religion in general is BS. They say science and atheism is where it's at then sneak off to worship the bad guy from thee very book they tell us is all fake. To understand the bad guy, read the bible. The bad guys have read it and studied it to use it against us. Satan knows what is written and tried to use it against Jesus to get Jesus to do an act of worship to him and turn against God. |

Ask for God’s help. That's right. Make the effort to pick up God's Word and read it, and God himself will read it to you through his Spirit, and open your understanding of it. The more you want to understand, the more he'll help you understand. The read-through starting tomorrow is a chance to see the "big picture of scripture" within a short time frame. Some people will make notes of the places they want to study deeper later, and that's a great idea. The read-through is to get the Book into you and you into the Book. It only takes one. |

Quoting: One Still Voice That’s 40 days and 40 nights of God’s Word, reading the Bible cover to cover. To get through the whole Bible in 40 days and 40 nights, we’ve divided it into 40 readings of roughly 20 pages each. That should take US around 2 hours a day. This is not a Bible study, so a deep reading is not the aim here. We’ll be reading with our lamps topped up and our loins girded, so to speak. Again, this is a read-through, not a study. It would be great if you could join us and we could all read the same sections of the Bible together at more or less the same time (at least on the same day), like a cloud of witnesses. If you think God’s calling you to do this, I suggest you do it. We’ve got some dark days ahead. Christians prep by reading God’s Word and remaining in prayer with God and Jesus at all times. Doing a read-through now will help you strengthen your spiritual muscles. We need to be strong for what’s coming. We need to be strong for ourselves and for each other. For the reading schedule, go here: [link to abornagainbeliever.com (secure)] The Bible will be the King James Version. Good luck with that. As long as you understand that man wrote the Bible. Parts are just made up a couple of centuries later. Be like you pretending to know what Washington talked about while buying a slave. God is very real not the bible. God inspired these men to write the Bible. |

We need to know God's Word in context, like Jesus did. And the only way to do that is to read the Bible all the way through and see how it all fits together, while asking God for guidance. No, it's not easy; nothing worth doing is easy. Maybe for those 40 days and 40 nights, time can be taken for the readings before work, or during commuting, or at lunch break, or after work, or in the evening. If someone really wants to do something because they know it's the right thing to do, they'll find a way to do it, they'll find the time. But not everyone is called to do this now. If you are truly a Servant of the Lord then this should be crystal clear to you in these Final Days: 1 John 2:15 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. If it isn't in The Bible then it is just conspiracy theory. |
