I have resisted getting the vaccine so far. However, I am facing oral surgery soon, and wonder if I should go ahead and get the shot beforehand. Of all the people I know, no one who has had the vaccine has had any serious side effects. I am in the New Orleans area, and Covid rates are going up fast lately, so the peer pressure is rising accordingly. The oral surgery is to extract a wisdom tooth.
Here is my question for the GLP hive mind: If I do cave in and get myself vaccinated, which vaccine should it be, and why?

They’ve also been giving themselves a fraction of the dose because the literature says it has the same effectiveness with less risk. Of course it’s illegal to do that for the public. I’d also like to state that they did still have side effects- heart related- murmurs and chest pain. Also; these people are heavily bought into vaccines. I mean, duh, it’s their bread and butter. But more than that even, they put their money where their mouth is.
