I have resisted getting the vaccine so far. However, I am facing oral surgery soon, and wonder if I should go ahead and get the shot beforehand. Of all the people I know, no one who has had the vaccine has had any serious side effects. I am in the New Orleans area, and Covid rates are going up fast lately, so the peer pressure is rising accordingly. The oral surgery is to extract a wisdom tooth.
Here is my question for the GLP hive mind: If I do cave in and get myself vaccinated, which vaccine should it be, and why?

Some of my coworkers were vaccinated months ago and doing great. I am the only person in my company that is not vaccinated. I just don’t know what to believe anymore. I hear reasons for not getting the Jan and then learn other things that debunked the other. This goes for both sides. Everyone is lying so I just don’t know what to believe anymore.
