What is your favorite cut... of Stake?

Mahogany

Well, most of the stake is worthless except for the pointed end, so I guess I'll take that cut.

As for steak, I've always been partial to sirloin (I guess I was a cheap date).

Titanium stakes are strong and lightweight. They are my favorite.

Call me old fashioned, Pine stakes are my favourite.
The do tend to dry out faster than say Mahogany, but you can use them to light the barbecue to grill up a keg sized steak

American Maple. Instant death to vampires.

Sirloin, lower sirloin. And briskets, point, not flank.

Rib eye medium rare plus so the marble sits in for the taste in the steak

I used to do medium rare

But the plus makes it even better

Don’t go over medium though with a ribeye

Unsure of what my favorite stake would be, but certain my least favorite are pine 2x4 stakes used for building forms. I house framed briefly for the experience once and suffered much during a couple of rare form building days.

As far as steaks go, I love med rare porterhouses reverse seared with a torch after a low heat oven.

Angus Ribeye

Soaked in lawerys mesquite & lime at room temp for 4 hours

1.5" over very hot coals

3-5 minutes each side depending on thickness

Rest em a few minutes

Flank steak, grilled on an open fire at the hunting camp in south/west Texas. With good friends, Tequila and good beer on a chilly night before the great hunt.
