Keep having weird dreams where fairies tell me stories

Here's the latest instalment


Once upon a time there was a good man called Daniel who had a big lump upon his back

He wished with all his heart that he could remove the hump and lead a normal life once more

The fairies were listening

One night when everybody else was asleep the man began to play a tune on his favourite instrument

Such a wonderful melody it was that the fairies came out to join in and dance along with him

His face lit up like a beacon and he was so pleased to see them

'Who are you?' asked Daniel

'We are the fairies from under the hill' replied their leader and added that if the man had any problems all he had to do was wish and they would be removed at once

The man thought this too good to be true so he asked them to remove the hump from his back

No sooner had he asked, than the hump dissapeared in a flash!

He was so grateful he began to cry, hot tears streamed down his face and leapt from his eyes like a fountain

'If there is anything else you would like simply ask' said the leader of the fairies

But the man wanted for nothing more, he was content

Soon news spread far and wide that the humpback had gotten rid of his hump and it sooned reached the town of Blackshire

In Blackshire their was a very wealthy man and he too had a hump, but it was on his chest, not his back

He set off at once to find out the secret cure for he too wanted his hump removed

Soon he reached the town where Daniel was and located the man himself

Daniel was only too pleased to share his secret and the man set off at once to remove his hump

He found the Fairies alright, but the fairies didn't take too kindly to this man

He had not led a good life

The leader of the fairies asked the man what it was he wanted

The man from Blackshire replied that he wanted the hump removed from his chest

The fairies took the hump from his chest, added it to Daniels old hump and stuck them BOTH on his back!

'There' said the King of the fairies, we have done as you asked

The man was lost for words and regrettted ever having gone to see the fairies at all, for the rest of his life he wandered round with two humps upon his back

and the moral of the story?

First, be good

Secondly, The cure for one is not the cure for all
