Why is everyone so surprised?
For the last few months as everyone has rallied around their candidate of choice - some becoming nearly rabid over the issues, I've said time and time again, the electoral system is so corrupt and the elections are a sham providing the masses with a distraction and the allusion of power as they vote. The reality is that we have no power through participating in the electoral process.

Now everyone who's candidate didn't win tonight, or last week, is screaming "voter fraud" and seems so shocked that perhaps their votes really aren't worth the paper they are cast on - if indeed there is a paper trail, which there probably isn't.

Wake up people. We lost this country 8 years ago.

That's how I feel about it too, 2X.

Nothing surprises me at this point.

But just by virtue of TRYING... I'm still gonna vote for Paul.

Yep I don't think the voting system means a damn thing anymore. It is doing a FANTASTIC job of providing a distraction though.

It was lost more than 8 years ago. The book Votescam documents rigged elections in Florida when janet Reno was a DA in Miami. It's pretty well known that Illinios was rigged for JFK. Now, it's been streamlined with computers.

I agree with 2X. We either have paper ballots, hand counted in public, or it's not going to change.

I would say we lost this country way back in 1913, when the Federal Reserve came into existence.

You are right, this country is not salvageable. It has been sold to the highest bidder. While I am generally optimistic, it seems all hope is lost. The people are not in control of this country any longer.

It is going to take something HUGE and I mean HUGE to wake the people of this country up and get them to realize the truth.

Ron Paul isnt the asnwer either. He is running to buy them more time until things are so far along that its to late to do anything. All you energy is going into trying to fix an evil system from the inside instead of overthrowing it and really making a difference. The only rational course at this point is true revolution and a total overthrow.

We The People need to move beyond the polarization,in my not so humble opinion.

There are the elite & elect and then there's Us.

Maybe we could enjoy one another more on the ground while
they rape Us All.

Re: Why is everyone so surprised?
While there was certainly voter fraud before 2000 - that's the year that changed everything in the electoral process as we know it. There isn't even an effort to hide the stealing of elections now. It's carried out in public - right in front of us.
And we sit by and watch our tvs, wringing our hands over it. Then everyone goes out and votes in the next election, and gets more involved, sends in more money - determined they won't let it happen again... As if the more people who vote, then maybe "they" won't have the balls to "do it again".

It's laughable really. It's going to take a lot more than voting again to bring about the change that is needed.

You can't wake people up unless you can force the powers that be to steal the elections and then be able to prove it. I think you'll find that there are many more people watching and recording everything that happens in this election.

The elections before that were stolen were done while things were still good and people didn't want to admit how rotten things are. This time around you have many people hurting and pissed off.
