I've mullein, knotweed, hibiscus, lemon balm and elderberry tinctures going.
I think I've devils lettuce in the back yard. that one is next.

Excellent! I have lemon balm, teasle root and ghost flower going! I am excited about the teasle for my mother's lyme. I also have a friend with anxiety to whom I am going to pass on some of the lemon balm tincture.

It's pretty cool how easy it is to make a tincture.

For a mosquito bite, NEVER EVER SCRATCH IT, PUT LOTS OF YOUR OWN SALIVA ON THE AFFECTED AREA and repeat, repeat, repeat every time you feel it itch. It will fix it but it does take about 10-20 minutes.

If you have scratched before using your saliva to fix it you have a much less chance of your saliva being super effective.

NEVER EVER SCRATCH A MOSQUITO BITE.

Magnesium citrate helps so many issues. Great for exercise recovery.

Cayenne pepper improves blood flow.

Of all the remedies I've tried, those two probably have the most immediate, obvious results.

"Prunella Vulgaris is edible and used as a herb. It can be used in salads, soups, stews, or boiled as a pot herb. Heal All has been used as an alternative medicine for centuries on just about every continent in the world, and for just about every ailment known to man, Heal-All is something of a panacea, it does seem to have some herbal uses that are constant..."

I think people should really start boning up on this kind of info AND start taking some immune support herbs.

I am a fan of

*butterfly pea herb for antioxidants
*medicinal mushrooms
*CBD (full spectrum)
*ginger - digestive issues
*amazonian herbal remedies - there are so many incredible cures from amazonian plants. Potent and powerful!

I have what appears to me to be a staph infection on my elbow.

I just searched home remedies and found quite a few.

Of course apple cider vinegar, turmeric past, several others, but I wanted to kinda make an Indian band aid.
So I went to the garden at 2am, plucked all the basil buds and squeezed them onto my elbow, then wrapped it in ace bandage.
I'll report back.
Btw, it's been lingering for weeks.

I will start. Japanese Knotweed. Anyone suffering from lingering effects of Lymes Disease should look into this. I know the Lymes can "hide" in the body after antibiotic treatment and the Japanese Knotweed can help rid the body of this.
 Quoting: TheEmptyChild

Wow, WTF doctors... *sigh*

I had Lyme Disease, had the bull eye on my back. Took one month of antibiotics but I didn't know about any of this!

I'll be looking into getting some Japanese Knotweed just to make sure all the bacteria is out of my system. It can stay undetected in your body forever essentially and be missed by the antibiotics.

Thank you, OP.

My contribution is Kalmegh Powder.

I first read about it on here and bought some. It has ELIMINATED my migraines and helped calm my nerves. Probably because of the anti-inflammatory effects. It also stimulates your digestive system so take it before you eat.

Oh, the Romans used to use Mugwort for their feet when they traveled. Just put it in your shoes. They say it reduces fatique. Probably has to have skin contact. Never tried it but read about it.

Re: Herbs and Natural Remedies...Share & Learn. UPDATE Pgs. 4 & 5: Usnea, Aster, Daisy
The basic themes of the Asteraceae can be found in those of the Lanthanides and Carbon.

Asteraceae have a strong drive for individuality, independence and living their own lives. They have a strong aversion to being interfered with. They want to do things on their own, going their own way. They prefer to say that things are going well rather than being interrupted or intruded upon. This is exemplified by the symptom known for Arnica when he says he is well and sends the doctor away. Even when they are sick, they do not want to be hassled by doctors or others. They hate operations, vaccinations, medications, and any other intervention. It is an expression of wanting to go their own way, a theme of the Lanthanides, combined with that of their body, which relates to the Carbon theme. The bodily theme is similarly expressed by ailments from traumas. They want to keep their integrity, also in their body. Any blow, beating, accident, or hemorrhages in any form is an intrusion of their boundaries, a violation of their integrity. A basic expression of the remedy is a feeling of vulnerability.

Psychologically, they want to become integrated. They have a desire to become one person instead of a complex of different personalities that act differently in different situations. It is a drive for individuation. It makes it difficult for them to project problems onto others. They want to take responsibility for their own lives, taking their life in their own hands. They have a feeling that they are not strong enough to keep other influences out of their system. They express that as a lack of resistance. Often, it is also a physical problem; they do not have enough resistance against infections, especially viral infections with high fever. The typical disease for Asteraceae is the classic influenza, with high fever, cold shivering, dull mind, and muscle and bone pains. Typically, they do not have a fear of death at all during these fevers. They are very ill, far away most of the time, they want to be left alone, and they have an aversion to food and sometimes, even drinks. But they do not fear death; they almost feel pleased if they would die. This comes from a kind of natural spiritual confidence, a trust in nature or God.

Asteraceae are the most developed plants, in my opinion. They have a strong need for individuality and autonomy. They want to feel like a human being, not a child, wife, husband, worker or whomever. They want to make the world a better place where everyone can be healthy, happy, and in the light. They want to make the world sunny, but in order to be able to do that, they have to become free themselves and find out what their purpose in life is. They need to know what they have come to do in this world.m

but it's oh so expensive at the dispensary for the really good oil so I want to buy some seeds with lots of CBD genetics and go from there. Any CBD growers here?

Who knew! Just some good ol' spit! Maybe that's part of the reason I get the broad leaf plantain to work so well on my bites...I chew it up and slap it on the bites. The saliva is probably helping as much as the leaf.

Thanks!

Definitely look into the Knotweed for the Lyme AND some Teasle Root tincture. It does the same thing. It can also help with arthritis and osteoporosis.

I hope it helps.

Yes. I liked to use MCT oil and sunflower lecithin to extract it. The MCT is a great non-flavored oil and the sunflower lecithin has many lipids that help it pass the blood brain barrier and increases efficacy and potency.

I am a practitioner of kambo frog medicine (an amazonian animal medicine)...within this ceremony are two other plant medicines that are worked with, sananga (eye drop for clearing your auric field and detoxing the eyes/old anger/liver meridian) as well as hape which is a tobacco snuff.

So many amazing plant therapeutics out there.

Sweet thread, OP! Am gonna' have to add this info to big printed binder of health stuff.

I just dropped this on poor fellow's thread where his wife got stung by wasp and had horrible push-the-vax moment at the ER.

Works like a charm.

This isn't actually for healing but ....

Vanilla extract is expensive. Make your own instead.

Cheap tall bottle of vodka.
6-8 whole vanilla beans.
Soak for a month or longer in a dark cabinet.

You can transfer to small bottles if you want. Lasts forever. I also just keep adding more vodka to the bottle and a few more beans when it starts getting weak.

Great for bartering if things get bad as everyone needs some flavor!

One thing to keep in mind is that some things, such as Cinnamon, are not going to be available to folks in the northern temperate climate zones once supply chains start breaking down - because it's from the bark of a tropical tree. One that grows way too large to keep in pots in a greenhouse.

We maybe should try to focus on things that can grow from seed or be propagated from cuttings and overwintered in a greenhouse in northern 'temperate' climates (aka cold wx with probably at least some snow & ice during the winter).

The GLP'ers who do live in the tropics will have things they can't grow reliably too, although not as many.

CAT'S CLAW

[link to rawlsmd.com (secure)]

Excerpt:

"Native to the Amazon, cat’s claw has a long history of traditional use for treatment of a wide range of inflammatory conditions. It also has been adopted by the Lyme community as a primary herb for use in treating Lyme disease.

Cat’s claw is considered an immunomodulator, meaning it calms an overactive immune system (reducing inflammation), but at the same time, enhances how well the immune system works. Benefits include potent anti-inflammatory properties and historical use for treatment of arthritis. It is known to increase WBCs, including B and T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and granulocytes.

Cat’s claw is also known to enhance a specific type of natural killer cell, called CD 57, which is deficient in Lyme disease. Cat’s claw has also demonstrated healing properties for the GI tract (beneficial for healing leaky gut).

Primary herb for Lyme disease and gastrointestinal restoration. Cat’s claw is antiprotozoal and may provide coverage against Babesia..."
