When was the last time someone died of Chickenpox? Transmissibility is just one factor that happens to be comparable and if Delta is as transmissible we're in deep shit since Delta actually kills people unlike Chickenpox...

I’m in a southern Illinois suburb and we have wear masks again wherever we go

My family works in ICU Hospitals, all Hospitals in Michigan are now requiring Vaccines or your lose your job. Same with all Universities and Schools soon.

So far don't see any Covid patients though, where did they go?

No fucking way is there going to be a lockdown across the country again. They might bring masks back temporarily and will try some funny business with requiring vaccines but we’re open for good now. And there isn’t going to be some mass die off from the vaccinated or unvaccinated.

Don’t fall for the hyperbole. This is simply the government deciding that they liked it much more when they could dictate everyones day to day decision making and are trying to bring that back.

They are buying up all the stocks that will explode and selling off ones that will crash and burn. Repeat from 2000. We are living in techno tyranny.

They are trying to say it is ineffective against transmission but that is still effective for severe outcome.

I'm very interested in seeing more data on transmisibility. So if the viral load is essentially the same, then they are right transmissibility is likely the same; however this still needs to be studied via some contact tracing to at least sample.

Second, *how likely* are breakthrough cases; We've heard data that the vaccine is only -35-40% effective or other studies saying it is 60-70% effective; so they need to figure it out more precisely; however the most important piece of data is what is the distribution of case severity for vaccinated vs unvaccinated; also even if viral load is the same, if symptoms are different (coughing), etc. that could still reduce transmissibility.

Most importantly though if the vaccine is say 35% effective; yet the majority of those breakthrough cases are asymptoamtic or mild then transmissibility will be LOW or VERY LOW. What is the viral load for these distributions - asymptomatic, mild, moderate and severe.

Of course, this *should* go without saying ; those who want protection can get the vaccine or wear an N95 mask; those who want to take the risk should be allowed to do that without any mandates, coercion, vaccine passes, etc.
