Quick Demo of how masks (don't) help | |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79900734 It's about viral load. In the moisture from your breath, the spittle from your nose and mouth, there's a higher viral load. The mask prevents that spray from reaching people who aren't up in your face. Low viral load means it's less likely to latch, but higher load means that it's more likely. Think about being in a hospital room with someone who is sick, the room is FILLED with it. Also, the mask does NOT protect you, only others. So all you folks arguing that it's your freedom to take your life in your own hands, simply do NOT understand how it works. Yes, we do understand. They are 100% ineffective. You where them if you want and stop telling free citizens they have to. They are not 100% ineffective. In large crowds they will stop some spit and mucus from being breathed in. It’s about how and when you use them. By preventing yourself from being exposed to colds, you're only weakening your immune system so it's moar susctible to opportunistic infections. With masks you are still getting exposed. You can still get viruses with your eyes and even your ears. You just aren’t breathing a lot of it in. It’s just supposed to lower the viral load some. But aspirin will do that also for those not allergic to it. And I don’t use hand sanitizer. We do need germs. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80046171 That is why you don’t wear them for long periods of time. And change often. Idealy, just don't wear them. Medical people who have to wear them are known to get headaches, cognitive decline, and foggyness, leading to mistakes that kill people. Worn in the wrong situations and for too long then yup that will happen. I feel bad for people having to wear them for long periods of time. Really the governments should make hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin readily available when people get sick. They knew cholorquine was the cure since 2005. One of the first things they did early on in 2020 was to ban HCQ. The gubmint are not our friends. Yup they are not. The shedding from the vaccinated is what concerns me and is why in a crowd I might mask up. But for now it’s just looks like people are getting sick but not dying. So more antibodies. |

Everyone's body is different, and if someone feels a mask helps them, then they are welcome to it. My body is not their body, so what's good for them could be very bad for me. The gubmint mandating things is atrocious and irresponssible. When I wear a mask, i can start to smell the mask getting stinkier as my wastes build up in the mask. The smell is from me breathing those wastes back in. I get nauseaus from the smell alone. I can also smell the chemical smell in the masks and that makes me sick too. I have to use unscented detergent for my clothes because the regular detergent smell makes me nauseous and get headaches. |
