Here's a basic idea that was more widely known in my grandparent's generation:

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CALL SOMETHING WITH A 99% SURVIVAL RATE A "PANDEMIC".

Pandemics are measured by death rates; if they aren't you have people DESTROYING THE COMMERCE of their nation over something the population will fight off without dying.

-This idea not only makes medical sense (because people's immune response strengthens in exposure), it also is "the capitalist" thing to do - why force everyone home, where they are forced to make less money if any at all - when "whatever the problem is, it isn't killing you"?

There is something rotten in medicine.
