"Coronaviruses" is the medical term given to a group of viruses known to cause the symptoms of the commmon cold (once the immune system starts dealing with the virus).

To say "Coronavirus" is literally to say "one of the viruses medical doctors would call the common cold"; they'd recommend you hydrate and get rest (all of the last century), and the media called the lockdown required, for nearly all of 2020, using the words "Covid 19" and "Coronavirus" interchangeably.
