I think a lot of people here are still holding onto this false hope that there's some level of good people left in the government, military, state governments, or etc whose going to protect them.

There's not.

If those people exist at all they're fighting a losing fight to keep themselves safe and their views undiscovered by the people around them.

My kids are grown too. I have son who graduated with a double major in theology and philosophy. He couldn't find a job even doing something outside his degree. He is now living with me and back in school getting his post bacc teaching certificate for high school English. We live near Tucson but he will have to do his student teaching where there is an opening.

I have warned all my kids not to get the shot. I have heard that most of the schools here require the shot to work. He says he is not taking it and will find a school that does not require you to take the shot. I sure hope he can find one.

The district should be challenged in court to show the science. CDC guidelines are not science. The CDC just said this with no science backing it up.

As a public school, I don't see how it can go against the state. The CDC has no jurisdiction over the state. It can make all the recommendations it wants, and the state can choose to follow it. In the end the state makes the rules.

Parents can send kids to the burb districts, which are good, on the metro bus. Which I believe has no costs for students.
