Simple strategy to solve the problem.

Thousands in "stimulus" money, $600 extra a week in unemployment for weeks followed by $300 extra for more weeks.
Those of us that continued working and paying our bills didn't get any more and we paid.
Hell I live off less than just the $300 a week and never missed a payment on the house I bought 7 years ago or any of my other bills.

How far behind are the landlords in their bills? How much did they have to cutback or sell to keep from going bankrupt? There's a lot of mom and pop landlords out there that have one or a few properties to rent, it ain't all apartment complexes. I think I only ever rented in one complex in my life and I got out of it as quickly as I could. Rented from several individuals over the 40+ years since I left my parents house.

You're feeling sorry for the people that are taking advantage of landlords. Those people wouldn't have had a place to live at all if it weren't for a landlord who invested and risked their money to own the property.
Then the government goes and rigs the game in favor of the deadbeats, the people with no integrity, no honesty, no pride! I was always too proud not to pay my own way. I did without things I wanted to pay for the things I needed, pay the debts I owed, And I expected to collect on the debts owed me too, just like these landlords.

Worked everyday through the whole thing, in my office. Earned my wage, paid my mortgage/rent. Taxes. Utilities. Food. Gas.

The list goes on for those of us.

i own several apt building, the smallest has 8 apts...the largest has 22 apts.

90% of my tenants weren't working and I still got my rent.

commercial property owners are not in the business of helping humanity. they are no different than any other bizniz that has a product for sale/lease/rent.

landlords are sleezeballs. the rent amount can easily be applied to a mortgage but since most renters live paycheck to paycheck, they dont have the credit to secure a loan...AND LANDLORDS KNOW THIS and take advantage of it.

I agree. The government has no right to force landlords to give free housing to freeloaders. Who did our stupid government think was going to pay the landlord's bills? You can't just steal someone's property and give it to freeloaders.

Landlords are operating a business just like all business owners. They take out loans to fix up properties then rent them out. They have upkeep bills, property taxes and many are paying mortgages on these properties. Like a business they need to make a profit so they can support themselves and their families. Big investors are buying whole neighborhoods and renting out the houses. You obviously to stupid to grasp this. No one owes you anything that you didn't work for.

You have great tenants! They pay their rent! I don't think that's asking to much.

Tenants that pay their rent, typically care about where they live. Repairs, issues, riff raff, ect.

I do not miss the days of being a landlord.

I'm renting a property now. The owners are fantastic. If for one minute I'm not going to pay them......embarrassing.

For everyone that gets kicked out either a single person or a whole family the City's will just put them in hotels at the taxpayers expense and to make sure just send the letter to Joe Biden he'll probably even send you money back in an envelope, In Los Angeles they giving away free tents

I doubt it's the mountain homes that are going to tank. People who had enough money to retire up to the mountains or to purchase a vacation home in the mountains aren't the ones going to lose everything. If they got into trouble, they have already sold their mountain vacation home. You might get suburban mountain homes cheaper than they are now, but you probably are not going to get a deal in nice mountain areas. The good side is that those homes have never been as expensive as in, say CO mountains or CA mountains.

Worried? No, I am elated. A close friend has busted his ass his whole life to have something. Including several rental properties. Some (not all) of his renters don’t seem to understand that he is still on the hook. He better never dare miss insurance payments, utility payments, or property taxes.

I understand that at times it's been necessary. If you have deadbeats destroying your properties i completely get it.

What if its family's who have paid what could and paid whe the received stimulus. Most of us are barely staying afloat when there is no covid. I'm not sure what should happen.

I know it will be a dangerous job and I wouldn't do it.

People lose their jobs and get into trouble. But for the grace of God and all that. Most are just one crisis away from having financial difficulty. The thing is, however, jobs have been available for months and a lot of those people have chosen not to work, and they have chosen to mooch off their landlords. It's difficult to respect people who did that.

I think they will continue the eviction moratorium.
They want as many bankruptcies as possible during The Great Reset so they can be confiscated and given to the wealthy to pay off the national debt.
