Evictions will result in empty houses & flats

Which will attract squatters--- which will lower the value of your own property

So if for no other reason than this--you should gang together to protect your neighbours from forced eviction

They cant do much if a crowd surrounds the property

If they cut off utilities--you can provide the neighbour with electricity from your home with extensions cables
Same goes with water--a hose will do the trick

If they do manage to evict you--just move right back into the property or squat in another property

You can tell which ones are empty--just by walking thru the neighbourhood & seeing which places are permanently dark

Call their bluff

Lets see if they forcibly remove families during a pandemic

Never happen

Simple strategy to solve the problem.

Thousands in "stimulus" money, $600 extra a week in unemployment for weeks followed by $300 extra for more weeks.
Those of us that continued working and paying our bills didn't get any more and we paid.
Hell I live off less than just the $300 a week and never missed a payment on the house I bought 7 years ago or any of my other bills.

How far behind are the landlords in their bills? How much did they have to cutback or sell to keep from going bankrupt? There's a lot of mom and pop landlords out there that have one or a few properties to rent, it ain't all apartment complexes. I think I only ever rented in one complex in my life and I got out of it as quickly as I could. Rented from several individuals over the 40+ years since I left my parents house.

You're feeling sorry for the people that are taking advantage of landlords. Those people wouldn't have had a place to live at all if it weren't for a landlord who invested and risked their money to own the property.
Then the government goes and rigs the game in favor of the deadbeats, the people with no integrity, no honesty, no pride! I was always too proud not to pay my own way. I did without things I wanted to pay for the things I needed, pay the debts I owed, And I expected to collect on the debts owed me too, just like these landlords.

It’s weird to me that some of the posters on this thread think that everyone who has rental properties is some fat cat skillionaire /slumlord. I ran into this friend at 8pm one night last spring. I casually suggested we go for a drink and he just laughed. He was out buying sidewalk salt to deal with the freak winter storm that was coming overnight. The rental sidewalks and steps are HIS responsibility.

12-16 hour days are the norm. He doesn’t complain,it’s what he signed up for…..but I’ll add this:

Socials / communists with their “You’ll be first against the wall when the revolution comes,comrade!” threats can fuck right off.

If they aren’t happy with their lot in life,they have the power to change their circumstances nine times out of ten. They just won’t …they’d rather blame someone else.

The profit margin of rental property for housing is below 5%.
You got 10 units and one tenant is stiffing you, there goes your profit.

I don't own a single other property but the house I live in.
A house I picked because I could cover the costs working a minimum wage job if it came to that. I put money in the bank since I bought the place working for $16 an hour. MY job evaporated at the beginning of the year and I plan on waiting out the crazy before replacing it, no unemployment checks, just my savings. No I didn't refuse the stimulus checks but at best that was 3 months expenses, 2 months wages when I was working. My car is 23 years old with 335,000 miles on it.

What you got is a bunch of selfish lazy assed people that put their wants before their needs because they got no self respect. They didn't plan for the future, the possibility of hard times cause they thought dumb shits like you would take care of them through the federal government or some organization that's supposed to be there for the real needy, not these gready assed selfish CHILDREN! who are too fucking stupid to take care of themselves. I blame their parents and the prevalence of dumb shits like you for their shitty upbringing.

I have been lucky enough to hold a job through the entire scamdemic. I am not happy that my rent has increased twice this year. I still have a roof for my family and am current on all bills, which is a huge struggle. The cost of living has nearly doubled in two years and I am tired of keeping up.

This whole deal is utter and complete bullshit and here we sit, waiting to be terminated while a huge chunk of the population is gonna be booted to the streets. The chaos is gonna be epic because it seems like this train has no brakes.

Simple strategy to solve the problem.

Thousands in "stimulus" money, $600 extra a week in unemployment for weeks followed by $300 extra for more weeks.
Those of us that continued working and paying our bills didn't get any more and we paid.
Hell I live off less than just the $300 a week and never missed a payment on the house I bought 7 years ago or any of my other bills.

How far behind are the landlords in their bills? How much did they have to cutback or sell to keep from going bankrupt? There's a lot of mom and pop landlords out there that have one or a few properties to rent, it ain't all apartment complexes. I think I only ever rented in one complex in my life and I got out of it as quickly as I could. Rented from several individuals over the 40+ years since I left my parents house.

You're feeling sorry for the people that are taking advantage of landlords. Those people wouldn't have had a place to live at all if it weren't for a landlord who invested and risked their money to own the property.
Then the government goes and rigs the game in favor of the deadbeats, the people with no integrity, no honesty, no pride! I was always too proud not to pay my own way. I did without things I wanted to pay for the things I needed, pay the debts I owed, And I expected to collect on the debts owed me too, just like these landlords.

landlords are sleezeballs. the rent amount can easily be applied to a mortgage but since most renters live paycheck to paycheck, they dont have the credit to secure a loan...AND LANDLORDS KNOW THIS and take advantage of it.

Wow, the angry stupid. None of what you said applies to most of the owners. Again, most of the landlords are 1-5 property owners, maybe one place is paid off, rest have mortgages, the rent pays the mortgage, no rent, hard to pay the mortgage.

The stimulus money for busines owners isn't the same as for the w2 (i.e. need someone to create a job for me) people. It is/was a loan, and it was/is a trap. The smart stayed away.

With that said, none of us have any sympathy for the angry stupid who have no idea how to build financial stability..
