PAY YOUR BILLS!
Simple strategy to solve the problem.

Thousands in "stimulus" money, $600 extra a week in unemployment for weeks followed by $300 extra for more weeks.
Those of us that continued working and paying our bills didn't get any more and we paid.
Hell I live off less than just the $300 a week and never missed a payment on the house I bought 7 years ago or any of my other bills.

How far behind are the landlords in their bills? How much did they have to cutback or sell to keep from going bankrupt? There's a lot of mom and pop landlords out there that have one or a few properties to rent, it ain't all apartment complexes. I think I only ever rented in one complex in my life and I got out of it as quickly as I could. Rented from several individuals over the 40+ years since I left my parents house.

You're feeling sorry for the people that are taking advantage of landlords. Those people wouldn't have had a place to live at all if it weren't for a landlord who invested and risked their money to own the property.
Then the government goes and rigs the game in favor of the deadbeats, the people with no integrity, no honesty, no pride! I was always too proud not to pay my own way. I did without things I wanted to pay for the things I needed, pay the debts I owed, And I expected to collect on the debts owed me too, just like these landlords.

commercial property owners are not in the business of helping humanity. they are no different than any other bizniz that has a product for sale/lease/rent.

The same way 17 year olds were collecting pandemic money, the landlords were also.
dont make this one sided.

im sure you tried to collect some of that pandemic money but refused since it ment openng up the real set of books.

landlords are sleezeballs. the rent amount can easily be applied to a mortgage but since most renters live paycheck to paycheck, they dont have the credit to secure a loan...AND LANDLORDS KNOW THIS and take advantage of it.

Wow, the angry stupid. None of what you said applies to most of the owners. Again, most of the landlords are 1-5 property owners, maybe one place is paid off, rest have mortgages, the rent pays the mortgage, no rent, hard to pay the mortgage.

The stimulus money for busines owners isn't the same as for the w2 (i.e. need someone to create a job for me) people. It is/was a loan, and it was/is a trap. The smart stayed away.

With that said, none of us have any sympathy for the angry stupid who have no idea how to build financial stability..

let me fill you in on a little secret mr know it all about economics.

The lender OWNS that property, not you.
whether the tenant pays rent or not, the property STILL doesnt belong to you.

REAL ESTATE PRICES across the board went thru the roof during the pandemic.

the country is shut down yet property values go thru the roof...HOW?
the stock market is up when no one supposedly wants to work..how?

everyone giving out auto loans when no one is working....how?

When a lender checks his notes and finds out you owe 200k on a property and that property has increased in value to 300k..well guess what:

that lender is going to call in that loan...because that lender needs the value on its books rather then on your books.

COUNTRYWIDE and BANK OF AMERICA DO THIS ALL THE TIME.

THE 2008-2012 housing CRASH wasnt about people not affording the loans...it was about bamboozling the person who took out the loan.

SUBPRIME loans , lmfao.

why isnt the jail full of underwriters/appraisers?

if i cant afford a loan for 200k, then how the fuck was I approved in the first place?

Wtf? No one has to rent my second home. I have waiting lists. It's up to them. And there's zero status. It's a supplement to teeny SSI for.many seniors.
