All the stuff from an earlier life, we took for granted at the time. My grandmother had a Chevy Nova. She was the stereotypical grandmother who only drove to church on Sundays and the grocery store. It was a 1972 and when she could no longer drive or live alone, in 1992, it still had less than 75,000 miles. She never cared for the original upholstery so it had a plastic cover and numerous fabric ones covering the plastic. I drove it once, it was an automatic that could easily squeak the tires. Easy to work on and super fun opening it up by tapping the gas pedal for overdrive OU8122 |

I recently watched the movie Coma, filmed in 1978. I was noticing all the cars. I miss them. They had character and you could tell them apart. |

Quoting: Starbird I bought it in 1997 for a thousand dollars as a "station car" off a Marine who had orders to go some where else. I watched that car with desire for months, I had no idea I would actually get the chance to make it my own. Its long gone, but for a little while . . . These cars are thousands and thousands of dollars now. Man. That car was a sweet, smooth dream, sliding the corners. Had that smell - mmmm - It had a freaking fantastic stereo in it. I used to drive that thing all over that big base for the pure thrill of it - a diminutive white woman in that big ass car pretending I was one of Charlies Angels.
