It was around 1985 or so. I was young and wanted to see a bunch of cities to see if I had any great desire to move to one of them.

Avis had a deal that you could rent a car for a week for $170 with unlimited free mileage.

So I rented a 1985 or whatever year it was Cutless Supreme. They were getting smaller but still a really nice comfy car.

Well, I drove for 1 week solid, only stopping for food, gas, and the occasional motel room.

wasn't really a detailed tour, but I would come to a city, drive the loop around it, stop for lunch or whatever, Read a newspaper. Then on to the next city.


When I turned the rental car back in, they checked the mileage and they could not believe how many miles I had put on it. :)
