Remember all the BONDO holding the panels together? Especially those back quarter panels - I finished High School in Illinois and our salty winter roads used to eat those cars down to their bones.
Quoting: Starbird Yes, my first car was a '67 Mustang 289. I had to replace the fenders with my own fabricated sheet metal, pop rivets and Tiger Hair, then Bondo and finally paint. Did it all in my back yard under the huge long needle pine trees. It was hard to keep the pine needles and bird feathers out of the paint. Car looked great when I was done, and I fixed or replaced just about everything on that engine. Super fast car that would take any car in town going 0-60. But it was not made to go much faster. Horrific suspension, cave man brakes, imprecise handling and needed an overdrive gear if you wanted to get over 100. Stupid unibody eventually rusted and made the car unfixable, (at least by me.) I Literally broke it in half. :)
