New research: Caffeine helps bumble bees pollinate better
Previous studies had noted that honeybees that were fed caffeine formed longer-lasting memories - they were able to remember the flying routes and where the best nectar was found.

......

"It’s like a person drinking coffee while revising for an exam. We generally know how coffee helps us concentrate and stay focussed, as well as helping us remember complex information better, and what our limit is. We’ve shown that caffeine increases the bees’ enthusiasm and activity generally and it makes the memory formation stronger,” she adds. “Fascinatingly, it shows that there are commonalities in the neurobiology between us and bees. Bees have got a brain the size of a grass seed and a very short life span compared to us, but can still accomplish complex tasks.”

I used to have a worm compost 12yrs ago and the worms were far more active when fed used Coffee grounds. They were also fed non-resinous parts of my Cannabis plants(sunleaves and stems).

They were Very Happy Worms.

I tried some coffee grounds to deter the slug massacre on my marigolds. It seemed to help, and my plants not only came back from near death but actually got quite big.

Re: New research: Caffeine helps bumble bees pollinate better
In UK It is illegal to kill some kind of insect with poison.
we had a giant hive of some freaking giant bees in the aeration conduits of the house.

the exterminator company used some kind of cocaine molecule that would bring them to heart attack

Unfortunately they failed to seal all vents and since they were very large the cocaine wasn't enough to kill them immediately.

So we ended with thousand cocaine fueled aggressive bees going around for the whole house attacking anything moving.
We had need jumping out closets, clothes,begs,anything...for a week and each time attacking us.
Almost killed myself trying to escape one while in the shower. Got stung and had a hard large bump for a month

Never give drugs to insects... never
