I work as a paramedic in the DFW Metroplex... I understand this is anecdotal but I think it's safe to say the CDC numbers for hospital admissions are bullshit.
COVID "cases" are definitely up here, we have been running more and more each day after it was almost non existent for months. I ask every COVID patient I have if they have been vaccinated and so far my tally is 80% are fully vaccinated. I spoke with some nurses at a local hospital working on the COVID floor, they say it's the same up there, "the vast majority that are admitted have been vaccinated." Every one I have treated is mildly sick with flu-like symptoms and don't even need an ambulance, much less a hospital.
It's a clown world we are living in
Quoting: J1NX Yeah, and for some reason people feel it's their duty to get tested and find out if they have covid, to "keep everyone else safe", and they have an extra dose of fear that makes them think their illness is worse than what it actually is, a case of the sniffles and a little fatigue Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77029459 The CDC instructed people who were vaccinated to stay away from being tested. Protocols set by the CDC for companies returning to the office was to not test the vaccinated and only test the unvaccinated. But some of these dummies that were vaccinated decided to get the RT-PCR test after they had a cold or were at an event where unvaccinated people were covid positive and now we have a new wave of the pandemic starting. WHY???? Because the RT-PCR test rolled out by the CDC in February 2020 would say that a swab taken from a mango would be positive for Covid 19. Brilliant. Quoting: God's Army is Summoned Don't forget that on May 1st, 2021, the cdc changed testing guidelines for the vaccinated, lowering the cycle threshold of the PCR test to a max of 28 to qualify as a breakthrough and on top they had to show symptoms, and be admitted to a hospital, otherwise, it didn't count. All they have to do is change the guidelines again, which no one really pays attention to anyways, and cases go back up
