As I side note, I stocked our company up with N95 last January when this was COVID thing was picking up. These are the blue 3m n95 (1860). After burning through around 6 months of stock, the masks started coming in with a noxious, terrible chemical smell to them. There is no telling what I am breathing in, but every mask since then has had this nasty smell to them. Not sure if anyone else in the field has noticed this?
Quoting: J1NX Sounds like a plastic that's leaking very carcinogenic fumes. I had something wrapped in nylon bags - made in China, of course - shipped to me a few years ago and it gave off a lousy, plastic-y smell.
