The mask mandate was dropped 5 months ago, cases are just now picking up. You are living in fantasyland if you think any mask outside of an n95 provides any sort of protection Youre in a medical field and you still don't understand that masks work not by preventing you from inhaling the virus containing particles but by blocking the particles you release when you speak, cough, sneeze, etc? Incorrect. These masks may prevent large droplets. However, aerosolized particles easily bypass the masks and float around. This is basic mask knowledge. It’s meant to prevent surgeons from dropping spit into open wounds. They DO NOT prevent viral transmission. I work in surgery. This has been known and taught for decades. This is why medical staff wear N95s in TB patient rooms. And TB is a huge bacteria compared to a virus. And dont forget, virus' can enter through the eyes since they drain into your sinus cavity. But no one ever thinks of that.
