I'm pretty sure he understands just this doesn't make that list of things he considers to be actually selling ones soul. Or, perhaps he realizes everybody's full of shit and has already sold their soul allowing this level of evil while convincing themselves they are decent. It's stated nobody deserves heaven so maybe lay off the condescension.
