If Recycling was Honest !

I spent years removing the ends and washing my steel can trash and flattening
Sorting plastics by number on the bottom

Putting out in separate containers

Then a neighbor with a smirk showed me

Those bins were emptied in the same truck compartment as the GARBAGE

Never washed garbage again

Someday anthropological recyclers will do dogs at landfills and have separating and sorting machines to recover and reuse valuable materials

Until then

Garbage it is - dumpsters don’t differentiate

funny. the same happened to me. one day i was there when the dumpsters were picked up. everything went into the back of one truck. pfft.
