I really hope you are right, but look around you. It's already happening, all those things GLPers have been speculating about, warning about, all that coming doom, it's here and we are behaving the way they wanted us to, getting caught up in us vs them arguments, stupid pointless rabbit holes and missing what is happening right in front of us.
