'they let the water out'. The Canadian national temperature record was shattered in June 2021 meanwhile, with 49.6°C recorded in Lytton, British Columbia – a town that was all but destroyed by wildfires a few days later. Many of these events have shocked climate scientists. The Lytton temperature record, for example, was head-and-shoulders above those set during previous heatwaves in the region. Some scientists are beginning to worry they might have underestimated how quickly the climate will change. Or have we just misunderstood extreme weather events and how our warming climate will influence them? Everything is Connected Floods and wildfires are not discrete events: they are the result of numerous interconnections and feedback loops in the climate system. Take the mid-July flash floods in London. These were caused by summer rainstorms, which were in turn driven by warm air rising from the Earth’s surface that built up during the preceding heatwave, stacking the deck for the downpours that were to follow. The wildfires raging in the western US, meanwhile, are a catastrophe whose stage was set by long-term drought. [link to floodlist.com (secure)] |

I recall 2016 was a year that rain was causing boulders to slide onto roads I was driving. Drill for water & use the weather modification listed on Texas Government websites!!!! Drought is deliberate for nefarious purposes!! — |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80706328 United States 08/06/2021 04:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | umm...the dam was in danger of failing so they drained the lake on purpose.... Wikipedia... In February 2017, Oroville Dam's main and emergency spillways were damaged, prompting the evacuation of more than 180,000 people living downstream along the Feather River and the relocation of a fish hatchery. Heavy rainfall during the 2017 California floods damaged the main spillway on February 7, so the California Department of Water Resources stopped the spillway flow to assess the damage and contemplate its next steps. The rain eventually raised the lake level until it flowed over the emergency spillway, even after the damaged main spillway was reopened. As water flowed over the emergency spillway, headward erosion threatened to undermine and collapse the concrete weir, which could have sent a 30-foot (10 m) wall of water into the Feather River below and flooded communities downstream. No collapse occurred, but the water further damaged the main spillway and eroded the bare slope of the emergency spillway. Many schools closed due to the floods. |

Not less than two ( full in 2019). This is deliberate. |

The whole damn things should be replaced wheile the water is gone, the mine tailings processed to remove the remaining gold, and the tailings sent to Area 51, for disposal. The dam should be completely replaced with materials that were not used somewhere else. “Queen Sarah, save us from the Black Dog King!” - from the play, Dissocia [link to tasaonline.org.au (secure)] "Never be anyone's French poodle." - Mr Hamilton |

Can't be replaced.. ever.. its more than the tailings.. much more.. fault line it sits on being part of it and the whole surrounding area is not suitable. The fill material is not that relevant.. as all the rest and the fuck up at the time on construction on the abutment next to the spillway. and on top of that... California is going to experience the SA fault and well more. It is time to LOOK... |
