Genetic sequencing and viral isolation are 2 different things.

I know with bacterial isolation, different species give different chemical reactions. The isolation starts with the selection of agar. Then is grouped by gram pos or neg and aerobic or anaerobic, CO2, X and Y factors (chocolate agar).

I do not know how to sequence the nucleic acids or any viral isolation techniques. Viruses are nothing like bacteria. Maybe I will search it to give you a better answer. Maybe not. Definately not tonight.

I am sure they have isolated a Coronavirus before. Maybe they do not know how to differentiate this particular strain of the species?

Well, dammit I looked it up. Virus isolation is very complicated and I do not claim to understand it. Some viruses are identified by morphological changes they cause to specific cells.

Coronavirus are identified by electron microscopy and by genomic sequencing. The case I read about in an NIH article was a Korean man whose sequencing matched other identified covid cases.

Viruses can only be grown in other living cells. Once growth is established, they are isolated by filtration or another method that I can't explain because I don't understandd.

I think that you are arguing a technically. Isolation is not the means of identification.

Don't you think that if there really was proof or isolation of a virus it would have been shown over and over in every media outlet there is.

Instead we got people posing for photo ops in hasmat suits and dancing nurses on tic toc, that is what was supposed to convince people.
