If you disappear in a national park, you can commit suicide without the stigma of suicide. That's a big deal for those of us who believe in karma. Having a loved one disappear in a national park isn't nearly as tough as a suicide.

Could you do it in a place where you were certain to be eaten by wild animals before your body could be found?

This is for entertainment purposes only of course.

Also suicidal people lack of energy most of the time, I don't think they would hike to die.

This thread is about suicide in national parks.

Can you go camping under 18? It depends. State parks will not issue permits or give campground reservations to anyone under 18 years old. Minors must also be accompanied by adults. Private campgrounds may have different age restrictions. For dispersed camping in National Forest, there are no age restrictions.

Have you ever been hiking? lol

I don't hike anywhere without a gun and knife, if there is a no carry ordinance then I go elsewhere. Too many weirdos following female joggers or drugheads growing marijuana out in the woods

How wrong you are.

But what about those who commit suicide in the “long term”? Those who drink or drug themselves to death over a number of years, what about them? They may suffer from abuse, or from unbearable pressures associated with their domestic arrangements or at work. They may determine that the easiest and most “socially acceptable” way of easing this pressure or pain, is to get drunk or to get “stoned” on a regular basis. It may take some time but in possibly 5 or 10 years they will be dead. The emotional (and economic) “cost” of this (“long-term suicide”) far exceeds that of any number of “quick” suicides.

The missing were on the menu.

I used to marvel at all the missing dog and cat flyers on the gas station bulletin board near my rural mountain home.

Those missing pets were on the menu for coyotes, bears, and mountain lions.

Um, my dude/dudette? You aren't thinking about disappearing yourself in a national park, are you?

Because generally when someone gives the disclaimer it's for entertainment purposes...that means they're actually partially/mostly/or even completely serious and just trying to avoid the bans/moderation/social stigma/negative reaction they would receive if they said they were 100% serious as opposed to 'theoretical'.

This is one of the times I wish I was a paid member as I could receive a DM. But if you need somebody to talk to who will listen, just ask and I'll email you and we can talk.

Dunno - just the overall tone combined with that disclaimer made me a bit worried.

National Parks were not set up for humans to visit. They were set up to keep what’s in there away from the rest of us. Those who go and go solo or get separated then become the prey.

Look up whwt time of year the most children disappear.

It's right before Passover.

They put the children's blood in their Passover cakes according to their ancient customs and then discard the body into McDonald's hamburger and sausage.

You know what religion eats Passover cakes.....

I can't type the religion's name or I'll get banned.

Okay, friend! But just remember: if you're someone who thinks karma is one of the most important characteristics in determining your eternal fate...if you were lying to me, giving what you were lying about and the intentions of the person you were lying to...that would be uniquely bad karmically.

So I'll take you at your word you weren't planning to have your remains eaten by a family of opossum and shit. And unless you want to nuke your karma...directly lying about suicide and then committing it is 1000x worse than just suicide alone. Remember that!

No opossum dinner!

If you look at the hot spots for disappearances at National Parks and then compare those locations to the cave systems it might shock you.

As a kid (11 or 12) me and my friends got lost in the underground drainage tunnels beneath Henderson, NV (a cursory search of said tunnels below Las Vegas, NV will give you an idea how massive these things were.

Billions of tons of dirt over our head. 100, 200 feet upward to the surface. Stuck in a tunnel five feet high by three feet by three feet. It had been two hours since we entered, and we had been walking since.

Our phones, of course, wouldn't work. I myself was freaking out 'cause I was gonna be late getting home...and then I realized...I'm not getting home. Not ever.

No one knows we're here. Even if they did...what could they do? Dig to us? No, no - the predicament we were in was past every adult and the police and the fire department and even the full force of the friggin' feds to solve. What was worse...not only would we die...we would die there and nobody would know about it. Nobody would find our bodies. Nobody would have been trying to save us. Nobody would know if we were even dead. Just...disappeared - like one of thousands do every year.

We eventually ran into a couple - one male one female. Homeless. Junkies. Malnourished. They led us out.

We were lucky because junkies live in drainage tunnels around Las Vegas. They don't around deep cave networks in national parks.

Personally, I think they have one of their twisted 'rules' where they must take their victims from public lands or something. CIA has always been behind this shit. Since the 70's at least.

Research "The Finders". I'm sure there's a wealth of info on that particular angle here.
I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again.
