Share Your Tips for STAYING SANE
I work as a psychiatric nurse in a hospital and have throughout the entire pandemic. We see a lot of drug use, suicide attempts, and serious persistent illnesses like schizophrenia. Some people just hide out because they’re homeless or facing criminal charges. I never hated my job until recently. It sucks the life out of me. Lately, I have panic attacks before my shift. We’re always understaffed and it seems we will accept just about anyone. Last week we had a guy convicted of manslaughter. We often get sex offenders. We get uninsured illegals who can’t speak a word of English. The healthcare system is broken.

Then I go home and I read or watch the news. I see mask mandates for children, the possibility of vaccine passports, the crime surge, the border crisis, massive inflation, and now Afghanistan. Our country seems to be crumbling at an accelerated speed. All of this negativity is driving me insane.

I’m contemplating many life changes because the stress is too much.

Some options:

1. Become a Christian - it'll all work out in the long run.

2. Become a sociopath - don't really give a shit and just look out for yourself.

3. Become a postmodernist - just laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.

I highly recommend retirement if you can...Otherwise, having new babies in the family always keeps you busy...My youngest son and his wife just bought a new grand-puppy...Yes, along with my four grandchildren and a fifth one due in December from my oldest son and his wife, I also have grandpuppies!

We are all in the refining furnace of God's judgment and the fire will only get hotter. The rainbow was a sign not to destroy the earth by water again, but the flames of the fire of judgment are burning...

The purpose of the fire is to bring forth pure gold in our soul and burn away the dross of sin in our lives... Turn to the Lord Yeshua with all your heart and he will give you His Shalom through dark times ahead! Until the Morningstar arises!

People were not meant to work for 40+ years before they can retire...Government jobs require just 25 years before retirement...Of course, if one never gets past minimum wage, they will work until dead...

I just read Willie Nelson's new book and he dispels the myth that he stopped using pot...He doesn't smoke much anymore, he prefers edibles...He said pot saved him from dying from alcoholism...

"sane" by the normies definition, would require believing things to be true that simply are not. We are so far past sane, or normal, and the only way forward for those who can see falling deeper down the rabbit hole..

Wow you have a right to be stressed.

I guess I’m lucky in that I don’t have too much to lose. But I still would not like to see a world like China or N Korea or Naz i Germany for the entire world.

Feel for you OP..

I agree 100%. Painting is a good way to relax your mind. Fishing is another’s idea. We been doing that too. I don’t watch tv, I don’t listen to radio much at all. I can’t stand to hear the news anymore. Makes me cringe from the lies. Detachment is a plus! Yes, much worse before it gets better.

Turn off the TV, at least the worldly news and garbage.
I’m watching things like Little House on the Prairie now.

I do lots of gardening and crafting. But I don’t have a full-time job like you do.

Yesterday I watched a video where a lady had high anxiety and she said that quilting calms her mind and made her feel better. She called it slow sewing, she did English paper piecing.
