So you live in Jersey, that's why you have so many miles on your car?

Single and some equity. Sell and move to Florida. You can pick up something for half the price and only have 12 years on a mortgage, figuratively.

What is your job?

Sell the condo. Take the profits and DO NOT invest in BTC.
Learn to read and understand what is in store for this country. You are young, you have energy, use your mind to figure out how to live a long life.

Do not rely on the government to make sure you are safe and secure. Get some education on how to provide for yourself and then GET THE HECK OUT OF THE EAST COAST

Living on the east coast is a sure way to get yourself killed. When the trucks stop delivering frozen pizzas to your local grocery store, where will you get your food? When the electricity and gas is shut off, how will you keep yourself warm?

Leave the East coast as soon as you can and move to the heartland. Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri or Arkansas are great places to begin anew. If you want knowledge, MOVE, NOW!!!!

Once you get somewhere join a church and begin making Christian friends. Your age is an advantage so the folks you want to make are a little older than yourself. They have knowledge that you lack, yet you have the youth to take care of yourself.

Read books. Watch survival YouTube vids. Begin to work to become self sufficient.

Lastly..........GET THE HECK OUT OF THE EAST COAST, NOW!

I realistically cannot move for another year because there is a physical datacenter that I am responsible for.

OK, lets agree to revisit this post in 1 year and see if there are still frozen pizzas at the store and if buying BTC was a good idea or not.
I've prepared for Doom for 25 years and finally realized that it is never coming, because everyone wants it to. Everyone wants freedom from responsibility and would prefer having no idea what tomorrow will bring to knowing they have to go to work at a job they hate and talk to people they don't care to pretend to like anymore. So they dive into TEOTWAWKI theories and politics and forget that most people just want to work and watch TV and don't give a shit about politics.
You may be technically right about everything, but still, the Doom will never actually come. Taxes will still be due and you still have to mow the yard. It just is.

Maybe your company has a physical data center anywhere else but NY that you can become responsible for. Have you tried asking if this is possible or at least a notification when an opening is available?

We have plenty. But this one is being retired, and I have to ride it out and help with the closure.


The top two locations I could relocate to is Texas and Virginia.

Get AWAY from the East Coast, NYC in particular!!

LOTS of bad stuff coming down the highway for NY City, and coming SOON. It's glory days are over.

The entire Northeast along the Coast is in trouble too.

Fly Over Country is where you want to be. Not as exciting as the City, but a LOT safer (for the most part) considering what is coming for NY City in the not too distant future.

Start planning your escape NOW ... and set a solid timeframe as to WHEN you will be long gone from that place

(I say that as a person who used to LOVE to visit the City ... had a lot of friends who lived there though all but 2 have now moved out)

You could literally buy and live in a mansion in a small town in a poorer state. The downside is you live in a small town, so there aren’t any services, shops, or recreation that big cities offer.

If I had to do everything over, I would move to the country and buy as much ranch land as I could grt my hands on.

I live in the suburbsof a midsize city, and every day I tell myself there’s too many people here, and more people move in every year. Now I just want to move far away from other people and live my life without other people interfering.

The most important part is to surround yourself with people who share your views on as many things as possible. A neighbor who is always looking to turn you in for something is not a neighbor- even if they live next door.

Go to Virginia...leave Texas alone.
