I never understood WHY they grew water hungry COTTON in the deserts of Arizona!!??
WTF!!
If you are going to grow anything in a desert at least grow something that is hard to grow in a normal climate location (like the Imperial Valley just down the road and across the state line farms vegetables, NOT cotton of all things).
Growing water hungry COTTON in that water resource poor location? ... a fit of insanity and greed.
