What a lot of people do not know about CA is that the people are not as panicky or neurotic as NY people. The mandates are going to happen on some level in CA, but a lot of the people are too laid back to give a shit. This is one of the things East Coasters cannot stand sometimes in regards to Cali people, but in this case, it will benefit the state. The Cali-"flakiness" means that most businesses are not going to enforce them.

Still, CA is not where you want to be, for a number of other reasons (shitty schools, overpriced real estate, water problems, etc.)
