During his speech Friday, Biden claimed that al-Qaeda is ‘gone’ from Afghanistan and that no Americans have had trouble getting to Kabul airport.

I suspect the only way they got so many troops in was to strike a deal with the Taliban to use Bagram airfield (which the Taliban took from the Afghani "military" on Aug. 15th.)

Which would mean they are getting safe passage for the 20 mile trip to Kabul.

I could be wrong, but that seems like too many troops to bring into the Kabul intnl airport.

I expect the Taliban and the US have agreed for the Taliban to clear the roads leading to the airport gates and it's not going to be pretty when there's a stampede.
