it may be impossible to convince the hospital to use it on her. I see it as for him.

a hospital will NOT dispense something not ordered, and then it MUST be from the hospital's formulary and from its own pharmacy.

If it were my loved one, here is what I would do:

Ivermectin is a paste.
Suppositories are often used for patients who cannot swallow, cannot keep something down, or very young.

like a tylenol suppository.

I would give the Ivermectin like a suppository. Rectally. Roll them slightly on their side - if they are on a vent - and put it in.
Or simply flex their knees a bit if they are on their back.

gloves abound in a hospital room. Use one.

A coworker was infected and got bad enough to see his doctor, who put him on Z pac, Vitamin D-3, Vitamin C and Zinc (the same thing as BBQ BOY's wife). He kept getting worse and was constantly coughing to the point he was throwing up. He got so bad he went to the hospital and they put him on the exact same antibiotic and vitamins/minerals. Notice how neither his doctor or the hospital put him on Quercitin (or any other thing to help the zinc enter through the cell wall)?

Anyway, he kept getting worse. And when his pulse oxygen number was down to 87, the hospital started talking about putting him on a ventilator. He called his doctor, who ended up putting an I.V. bag of Regeneron into him. Before the whole bag was in his body, his coughing had stopped. And three days later he was putting down flooring in his house.

For everyone saying BBQ BOY needs to get some Ivermectin in his wife, it's unfortunately too late for that. She can’t take it orally because she is on a ventilator. And she can’t take it rectally because I doubt BBQ BOY or his sons will be allowed into her room. And we all know the hospital will most likely not administer Ivermectin.

That’s why BBQ BOY NEEDS to demand they give her an I.V. bag of Regeneron.

by mouth is the most usual medication administration route, or by im or sc injection. intravenous route common too.
fastest route: sublingual or buccal.
under your tongue or along the inside of your cheek.

Route used independent of consciousness or ability to swallow - rectal route.

of course, the inhalation route works too and is preferred for some medications.

dermal too - the famous nicotine skin patch.


rectal route most often used for infants or anyone without the ability to swallow, perhaps in a coma.

some meds just irritate the stomach or esophagus too much.

there. now you know some of the alternate ways to get stuff into a patient. Hope you never need the info, but there it is!

That is exactly what I would do as well. It sounds gross to a layperson but, certain medications given this way work much better and faster. In fact I read that some drug company is developing a sub-lingual form of Ivermectin.

Do y'all think the hospital is going to let BBQ BOY or his son in the room, much less give her a suppository?!

Ivermectin and hospital/doctor research are things that should have been taken care of before a person gets sick.

Now her best chance is for the hospital to give her a bag of Regeneron.
