Cases slowly grew but didn't really break through until spring. 2020/21 - Same thing happened in 2020. CONVID-19 appeared in January but didn't really break through big until March/April. 1918 - Spring 1st wave. Summer virus subsided, but then took off again beginning in October, with the highest # of cases to date. Cycle repeated itself in 1919. 2020/21 - Same pattern. Cycle repeating in 2021. 1918 - The worst wave didn't occur until the winter of 1920 in what was referred to as the 4th wave and final wave. 2020/21 - Is this what we have in store? Is the worst of it coming within the next 6 months? The 1918 H1N1 flu pandemic lasted a total of 26 MONTHS. 26 months from January 2020 takes us to spring of next yr (2022).

H1N1 mutated in a way that made it much less deadly by 1921. Unless SARS-CoV-2 does the same thing, it will be much more likely to be bubonic plague like. Shows up, is held back at some times, comes back with variants, will take specific measure to get it under control over a long time.
