I am part Cherokee too. I am also good with animals. Peoples pets that will not let anyone near them will come right up to me.

I feed strays cats a lot and have a few wild animals that will come up and eat with me sitting in a chair right beside them. I have Possums, Raccoons and squirrels.

One night I was feeding the cats and a new tuxedo cat was there eating. I could not see him very well because it was dark but I started talking to him like I do then others. Asking him if he liked tonight's selection and other silly things.

He finished eating and started walking to me and I noticed his big bushy tail. He was not a cat, he was a skunk. I did not move as he walked right up to me and brushed my leg and then took off towards the treeline.

I have no pics as proof for 2 reasons, 1st it was dark and a flash would have scared him and 2nd I was not going to move. I was doing my statue impression till he was gone.
