Today is Donna's Birthday, she would have turned 58 today.

I hope Dakota is able to come home & spend some time with you soon! hf
 Quoting: Paranoiaaaaa

Dakota came by yesterday and spent about 3 hours with me, we were masked up and social distancing in the house. We decided it's best for him to stay at his Aunt's until we sort all this out. Everything was and is in Donnas name here.

I strongly advise that everyone discuss their wishes with their spouse and write a will.

Hmmm. Don't really know what to tell you my friend. I can tell a story since you know me and i'm not coming out of the blue with one. We, shit, still hard to write, we pulled the plug on my Father, it was terrible as only my mother and I made that choice. My sister was too young we figured. I was 19. My sister 14, but my father was clear to not be subjected to long treatments. So...ths fucking hurts to say, my mother and I decided to pull the plug on my father. I drove home from Brantford to Hamilton ON. About 45 mins.

I got home about 11pm and I got half way thought this [link to youtu.be (secure)] Then was asked to drive back to Brantford to bear witness. The witnessing of 'designed' death is harder then the witnessing of 'time is up' death. I can not imagine what you are going through. The 'timed death' (been there saw it) is still death. Death is death. You and your family are deeply embedded in my heart. Stay strong. You never leave my prayers. And if you need a chat, you can find my number here. Stay strong brother. You are still holding up those left behind. New fangled Job. XO to you and Dakota.

Donna's difficult journey and your willingness to share your pain and grief has touched us all in a way that is difficult to put into words. Maybe some found strength, maybe others let go of judgments or held their loved ones a little tighter. Perhaps some found closure to their own pain. The AC post after her passing brought tears to my eyes. Even those we all may disagree with one another at times - even some shills wanted to reach out and comfort you. Her passing brought our odd little community together in a way that monkeyflower did in her hospice thread.

Donna's physical presence is gone, but she is always in your heart. Love never dies.

Donna's soul is celebrating a new turn, a birthdate with the heavens. Happy birthday, Donna, and the deepest of hugs to you, Pete. May God ease your pain.

Add my---
Prayers and hugs.
Suggestion---
While you are away, weather permitting, ground yourself by putting your bare feet on the ground--grass is fine. Likely you have heard of this---I did a search and came up with many results, this is one as a FYI---

[link to greatist.com (secure)]

I liked this one because the author discussed the connectiveness of us all...

I always find healing by watching the sky and clouds when I am barefoot. Also putting on headphones and listening to music, like songs you both enjoyed listening to

I believe---
The love you shared so deeply transcends time and death.
She is watching over you.
The times you shared, both happy and sad, the high points and the low points, are a sacred journey. As much as you can, give thanks for this journey that will resume together in the distant future. But when you love someone so deeply, that connection overrides the time separation--I believe this to be true.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I wish with all my heart you didn't have to.

When my mother passed and years later, when my father passed, I found some comfort reading the book on which the movie "What Dreams May Come" was based. The book has so much to it and it helped me. Just a suggestion. I share this from my heart and in the hope that it helps you to find some peace.

You have to find your own way through this and no one here can really know what you're going through. All we can do is send all the prayers, love and comfort that we can.

Please take care of yourself.

Hang in there, brother. It is good that you are going to spend some time elsewhere to get your mind off of things. You've got to find a way to look forward to the future as you still have a life to live for you and your son.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards,

Hopefully the change in location will start making each day a tiny bit easier for you, Pete.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

Normalize every aberrant behavior, bring common all deviancy and let fly the reins of morality and reason, then welcome in that utopia that liberals embrace called communism, that which most Americans with but a shard of ethic would immediately recognize as evil.
