It wasn’t clear if that individual was involved specifically in the Thursday suicide blast outside the gates of the Kabul airport, where crowds of Afghans were desperately trying to get in as part of the ongoing evacuation from the country after the Taliban’s rapid takeover.

The airstrike fulfilled a vow President Joe Biden made to the nation Thursday when he said the perpetrators of the attack would not be able to hide. “We will hunt you down and make you pay,”

This doesn’t even look good on paper.
Per the article, it’s unclear if the individual killed by the drone strike was involved in the airport bombing. So, how did Biden fulfill his “vow” of making the people responsible for the airport bombing pay when they don’t even know if the guy they killed was involved?


13 US service members murdered (at least 170 people killed as of now) and we respond by killing one person that may or may not have been involved in the airport bombing? Pretty weak response IMHO.

How was this death confirmed? Did the drone confirm the kill? Can drones confirm kills? I really don’t know the answer but have to ask since we don’t even have enough people/troops on the ground to get stranded US citizens to the airport.
