Anyone else having weird shit happen at night while trying to sleep?
Last night sucked, as did a few nights ago and a few nights before that...

I will jerk awake with strange 'itching' sensations, almost like a bug crawling on me- in random places and when I move to go itch, it will happen somewhere else completely different. Like as in ALL night long... on and off- along with intense ringing in the ears (I have tinnitus anyways, but this is not that, MUCH more severe). Exact same thing 2-nights before and other nights before this as well (but then I will have a night or multiple nights of nothing like this at all).

The reason I am creating a thread on it right now is due to some peculiar observations from last night. Never-mind the bizarre dreams, but there were interesting timing 'coincidences' with me jerking awake to itch and my partner suddenly making a noise or physically jerking/moving herself while sleeping. The fact that we are in the same bed it could be correlated with me moving making her react or whatever, but our dog is not in our bed, and he would also make strange noises while asleep at the exact time I would have one of these itching/ringing episodes- sometimes I would resist the urge to itch/move to just observe the sensation (and no it isn't 'bed bugs' or any other actual crap like that), so I know it wasn't me doing something to cause him to respond- it was almost as if a 'shock-wave' or some other thing was passing through the room.

I was just curious to see if anyone else was experiencing similar phenomena, as I have seen threads before that seemed to correlate with sleep-related stuff and my own experiences...

I will jerk awake sometimes when I'm just on the verge of falling asleep... also, I sometimes wake up in my mind but my body will stay asleep and I cannot move an inch of myself until I finally snap out of it...

I too get the full body tingling sensations on my skin... even when awake sometimes...

When I jerk awake, I feel like I've travelled outside of my room and back again into my body creating that jerk effect...

Sometimes, bringing back some vivid images in my mind of where I had just travelled too...

Glad to read it...

There have been some other peculiar observations I have had in recent weeks/months as well.

With regards to the ringing- a month or so ago I was laying there having difficulty getting to sleep (something that is traditionally 'not my thing'- my wife has always commented on how quickly I can drift-off into a deep sleep)- anyways, my normal tinnitus ringing suddenly and abruptly became 'supplemented' with a distinctly different tone, like a damn switch got flipped- I thought to myself, "I am going to look at the clock right now and if it is on the hour or half-hour, I will know this is something man-made being projected somehow". Sure enough, it was 2:59 and the clock by my bed is one minute slow.

I feel you... I get the out of body type thing and have had significant 'sleep paralysis' stuff in the past as well, to include what I feel and what I have been told, seems like an 'outside influence' (demonic type shit)- in fact, I have had this my whole life off and on- but what I'm reporting on here is not that... this is something less 'individualized' or personal- it feels broader-based to me.

Hey, whatever works... I do meditation myself and in the past I have noticed better sleep when doing some prior to bed- but it is through meditation, I think, that I have become more n tune with observing my own internal processes and sensations- and I know when something I am experiencing is internal or external- what is going on here certainly feels 'external' to me...

All the time. My sleeping is sporadic at best. But lately it's because my dog is in heat and she won't lay still and wakes me up constantly all night.

2 nights ago, I dreamed I lost my bag of weed, and I woke up panicking only to find I did lose it. Not a good night.

This is not caused by a substance (at least that I am consciously ingesting/consuming) I am aware and experienced in various symptoms related to substance use- and what I am discussing here is not that.

I almost feel like shoving some substances/drugs down prior to bed, in order to 'knock myself out' especially if I have to work the next day or whatever, but like I said, I am a good sleeper by nature and don't like the drugged-out, lethargic feeling the following morning if I take anything intended to make me sleep.

Good suggestion, point though-

Glad to read it big dog...

cheers

I think what I got going on could be 'regionally/geographic' in nature... there is 'other' strange shit occurring around these parts in recent months/years.

Satan is at war with us for our minds. We have to choose sides and God knows this. I recommend you might read a few bible verses before bed and clear your mind and only think about the one who allows you to exist. When I was was young I was under full demonic attacks like this. As I became more spiritual the dreams ended. It got to the point when I was attacked I just laughed at the demons and they seemed disappointed I no longer believed in them lol. Listen to this guys near death experience maybe it will help. God always has our back if we let him..in...1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Lol- yeah, I need a bong-ripper before bed I think!

Interesting, I had a peculiar dream about a dog last night that your comment reminded me of- it lived in the water but climbed-out to go feed her puppies! Only one (there were 3) had been somehow taken-over by some other animal and it was distressing her bigtime (she was focused on trying to get it back I think)... the other 2 were sorta hiding in some bushes and I thought 'how had I not noticed these puppies before?!" (my dog is a male BTW)

Yes... feeling that "higher consciousness" rising sensation, coming out of my body, travelling to places I've never been before, coming back into my bedroom and body with those images of where I'd just been...

Makes me feel like a wet noodle when I come back...

Sometimes, it's not a pleasant feeling when I slam back into myself...
Jerks me awake, heart racing for ages afterwards and all...

Nothing is worse for me though to waking up suddenly during the night to find I can't move a muscle... like I'm paralysed on the spot and the only thing I can move are my eyes sometimes...

Yes! Last night I felt like my insides were being fucking microwaved.

Happens every so often, like my temperature regulation is wonky. Either too hot or too cold within a few minutes. I usually get up and look at GLP, didn’t last night though, I paced around and tried to meditate that didn’t work either. Felt electric and very uncomfortable.
