Remember that lawyers (of all types) are essentially professional arguers. Some people are born natural masters at it (make bank), and some people suck ass (charge 25/hr).

You definitely don't want to marry a good lawyer lol, they will win every argument, every time. Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carleson are two ex elite corporate lawyers. They would rip anyone to shreds in the court room. They would laugh at $150/hr. That is what you are up against.

Unless you lost a whole lot of money — like a crapload into six figures and can prove it without a doubt, and are willing to grind through a court case and front a whole lot of money, it is a fools errand.

Speaking from experience the disruption it will cause to your life and business if a lot just to be “right”.

Attorneys will never tell you the economics of your case, and they get paid either way. Plus, they will investigate and research things to your heart’s content about a case.

At the end of the day there are 12 schmucks that decide your case unless it is a bench trial, and all the research and investigation turns into these people or a judge making a decision.

Keep in mind that this is not legal advice just what happened to me. One other thing - big companies have attorneys on staff or retainer. They will use them one way or another and have a lot deeper pockets than you do.

There are no $25/hour lawyers. There are no BigLaw firms charging only $150/hour.

I’m a lawyer in Arkansas and I charge $425/hour. Big NYC or DC lawyers are getting $1,000+/hour.

I'll tell you what a premium lawyer told me when I had a legit claim against the us govt. Yes, you are right, yes you would win but not before they came after you with the IRS and pockets so deep that they would bankrupt you in litigation. For that reason they declined and every other atty after that. They said the only real thing you can do is sick the govt agencies that regulate certain things against each other or in your case a monster corp. If they side in your favor then the atty would take as it cuts through red tape up front. Never pursued as it was going to take years. Just moved on.

The federal govt has the highest "win" rate. It should not be surprising since this place has become as corrupt as China in the last 30 years. I'm not sure even China matches the 99.8% conviction rate here.
