Ivermectin storage
Why is the recommended storage temperature range so narrow? Basically room temperature. Why not refrigerator storage.

How is everyone storing theirs?
Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

If the more I know, the more I know I don’t know, then do I truly know what I know because I know I don’t?

Re: Ivermectin storage
I understand if it gets too hot it will degrde and liquify. If it is chilled shouldn't it prevent degradation? Will it separate if chilled. Sure it would not dispense well if too cold, may have leave it out to room temp to dispense. Anyone ever chill it?

I keep it in my basement. It doesn't get over 70 degrees.

Another thing is when it expires, is it that the gel starts to get rancid but the active ingredient remains effective for some time. Thats wgy I want to refrigerate it.

That's what I am thinking of doing. `I have done that with some other meds even way past the so called expiration date. I could care less.

Re: Ivermectin storage
Do you have pills, liquid, or paste?

Each type will have different ranges.

In any case, you can store it in the refrigerator as long as it is not at or close to freezing.

Re: Ivermectin storage
I've always kept a dozen or so tubes in a mini fridge in my barn. Most are over a year or two old but I'm sure they will work as intended for our livestock. As for the stuff I have for my family? As Lady Jane said, I keep in the veggie drawer in the house. I'm not going to trust old paste for my wife and kids!

I believe that Quercetin has the same effect of carrying the zinc into the cells. I have both and the Quercetin will probably last longer...

Re: Ivermectin storage
Thanks for the replies. The veggie draw in the fridge that's in the garage. I don't keep that one at max cooling anyway.

Bought a bunch of Durvet and want to keep it optimal.
