Well!...having listened to perhaps, the longest list of "Pass the blame" excuses, ever heard made by a President of any country!..As an Englishman I saw red, when he said that the numbers arlifted by the US during this evacuation, was amongst the largest the world had ever seen!..really?..perhaps his speech writers should have checked out facts about better!..Without the vast benifit of modern aircraft, the UK did, I'm almost certain, manage to evacuate far more troops, from the beaches of Dunkirk, during the early days of WWII!..using just a flotilla of very small boats, and small commercial craft, as well as a few warships!!..All whilst under enemy gunfire from land, sea, and air!.
This speech was a shameful attempt to shift blame from himself, onto anyone elses shoulders!..shame on you Sir!...

Exactly. Never expected a clean exit from a war zone, and he deserves credit for being able to regroup and speed up evacs in a day or two. That’s how effective and competent management works.
