I've made my position on that subject fairly clear.

The only person scared of the pandemic is 7acob 6othchild and his aged companions.

They can't force 100% compliance on the vacinations. Although Malaysia is really high, there is nothing to indicate they are even close to 100%, 40 million doses with a population of 32 million. Assuming two doses instead of the three for a vaccination means that only half are double dosed.

No on is saying a double dose is 'fully vaxed' anymore, so it looks like they are throwing in the towel. Vacination rates are dropping recently as well.

China is, right now, dealing with this issue in scale. They are trying to limit the 'salary' of a teacher to something that works locally. But the problem is that almost all the real talent in China has moved on.

The PCR test is basically a random number generator.

But when there are more vaxed in the hospital than unvaxed, the narrative has to change.

Only a couple options:
1) Declare victory, have a ticker tape parade for the heroes of the vax rollout, and switch the news cycle to something else.
2) Have the media stop reporting almost entirely on the vax status of people dying in the hospitals (the current U.S. answer). This allows you to keep up the COVID-is-deadly narrative for a couple months, maybe, but it is unsustainable over the long term and you will be plagued by leaks from docs, nurses and experts telling the public of the large numbers of the vaxed that are hospitalized and/or dying.

SARS and MERS just sort of disappeared. It happens with coronaviruses.

Bottom line is: when the unvaxed reach heard immunity, the narrative has to change. It has to.

OP is confused about what they mean by "endemic." Cut him some slack it's a very confusing and stressful time.

One thing to consider is that Malaysia didn't do it on its own. That it had orders from the U.N. and W.H.O. to, when it had vaxed a certain percentage of the population and rolled out vax passports, declare victory and shift the narrative.

In other words, they're just following the program.
