Any GLPers own or have access to CDV-715 Geiger Meter? People in Spain are measuring high levels of ionizing radiation with this apparatus.

I have read the manual, and know that they are calibrated against a standard sample. The people that is using these in Spain claim they are calibrated. But also, If there were just one guy showing the high readings I would brush it off as simply a guy using a broken meter, but there are at least 4 guys that I Can tell so far, one of them with other brand of meter of German origin, are all their meters producing false readings?
Quoting: Red Hot Chilean Pepe they were calibrated against a wrong sample or too long ago. 8 R/h is rather a large dose, if they are not seeing people animals, bees, or flies "dropping like flies", it is [most likely] due to a bad/uncalibrated meter. Although if increased measurements can be traced to a single source/spot, then it is because some idiot took souvenirs from Chernobyl zone.
