My aunt in Sicily was flown to Rome after she tested positive and was asymptomatic. She was 83 and had no symptoms, she was only confirmed to have covid after she went to the doctor for a routine checkup and they asked her to do a test. I told my mom that the PCR tests were showing false negatives/positives, but in time they took a blood sample and tissue samples and confirmed, as far as they say, that she was positive.
