Re: Are you willing to wait on God?
as long as you get rid of sky god... God is manifested by human beings.. you have to wait on the humans to know they manifest god... which is the goal of this time.

other than that.. there is the huge celestial GOVERNMENT operating now on earth.

Very good, here's your backup;
Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” Mt28:19

All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. 2Ti3:16

Does it all hinge on free will? If I know all about a person's heredity and all about a person's knowledge and life experiences, I will know precisely what that person will think, say, or do next. It's called determinism. Any other thoughts, speech, or actions would just be random, wouldn't they? How can random behavior be free will?

No God need be involved. But willing to wait--that's determined for believers. And really, what else is there for them to do?
Just don't make anything up.

Re: Are you willing to wait on God?
7 When describing how Jehovah created the earth, the Bible speaks of his setting “its measurements,” sinking “its pedestals,” and laying “its cornerstone.” (Job 38:5, 6) He even took the time to reflect on his work. (Gen. 1:10, 12) Can you imagine how the angels felt as they saw Jehovah’s creative works gradually taking shape? How exciting that must have been for them! Why, at one point, they began “shouting in applause.” (Job 38:7) What do we learn? Jehovah’s creative works took many thousands of years to accomplish, but when Jehovah surveyed everything that he had created so thoughtfully, he pronounced it “very good.”—Gen. 1:31.

Re: Are you willing to wait on God?
“I will show a waiting attitude.”—MIC. 7:7.

1-2. What will we consider in this article?

HOW do you feel when a package containing an item that you really need does not arrive when you are expecting it? Are you disappointed? Proverbs 13:12 realistically states: “Expectation postponed makes the heart sick.” But what if you learn that there are good reasons why the package did not arrive when you expected it to come? In that case, you would likely be patient and willing to wait.

2 In this article, we will look at several Bible principles that can help us to develop and keep “a waiting attitude.” (Mic. 7:7) Then, we will examine two areas in which we must patiently wait for Jehovah to act. Finally, we will consider the blessings that are in store for those who are willing to wait on Jehovah.

8. What will we now consider?

8 As we have seen in the examples above, we can find many principles in God’s Word that highlight the need for patience. We will now look at two specific areas in which we must be willing to wait on Jehovah.

According to "current scientific data" [circa 1957, anyway]
- and definitely according to what the Bible actually says -vs. what so many indeed pretty predictable ones {a majority, even ?} seem to think it says-
we have more free will than you might think....? :

Awake 1/22/1957 "Free Will ?"

...Is it possible that the movements of electrons, which are subject only to blind chance in inanimate things, are under voluntary control by a creature who exercises free will?

We do not know, but such speculation is not inconsIstent with present scientific knowledge.

This we do know, that deterministic philosophy is out of step with present scientific knowledge.

To one who reads the Bible with understanding and a reverent regard for its Author, there has never been any doubt on this question of free will.

The first man was given the choice to live in a paradise earth or to die.
The choice depended On his voluntary response to a simple test of obedience. (Genesis 2:17)

The spirit cherub who was to look after him could choose to' continue as an obedient servant or ambitiously to rebel against his Creator. (Ezekiel 28:14)

Jesus could choose either to walk in integrity in the true worship of Jehovah or rebelliously.. to take a short cut to the kingdom offered him by Satan. (Matthew 4:8, 9)

Jehovah has set before all his intelligent creatures the choice of life or death. (Deuteronomy 30:19)

In this time of crisis before Armageddon the water of life is being offered to all.
It is a matter of one's free will to refuse it or accept it.-Revelation 22:17.

What does 'wait' mean? From my non-New Age take of the Mayan Calendar, everything is proceeding exactly as it should? The time compression is accelerating. How is this not in line with the Jumping Jesus phenomenon? WHat shall I expect from 'waiting' or is that OP's prelest speaking because OP's timing is off?

WHEN DO WE NEED TO WAIT ON JEHOVAH?

9. What is one area in which we need to wait on Jehovah?

9 We may need to wait for our prayers to be answered. When we pray for strength to deal with a trial or for help to overcome a weakness, we may feel that the relief we are seeking is taking longer than we had hoped. Why does Jehovah not answer all our prayers right away?

Re: Are you willing to wait on God?
10. Why is patience needed when it comes to our prayers?

10 Jehovah listens carefully to our prayers. (Ps. 65:2) He views our sincere prayers as evidence of our faith. (Heb. 11:6) Jehovah is also interested in seeing how determined we are to live in harmony with our prayers and to do his will. (1 John 3:22) So we may need to show patience and work along with our prayers whenever we are trying to overcome a bad habit or a weakness. Jesus implied that some of our prayers might not be answered immediately. He urged: “Keep on asking, and it will be given you; keep on seeking, and you will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to you; for everyone asking receives, and everyone seeking finds, and to everyone knocking, it will be opened.” (Matt. 7:7, 8) When we follow this advice and “persevere in prayer,” we can be confident that our heavenly Father hears us and will answer our prayers.—Col. 4:2.
