If you're in the market for a car, BUY IT NOW!
Choices in the car market are slim, and prices can change every day.
The car I requested info on went up 2 grand overnight. Luckily, I printed out the listing which showed price of $13,000. (Tues night). It went up to $15,000 the next morning (today) when I went to recheck the listing for the mileage.

I'm wondering if they raise the price once they receive an email request from the site (Send me more info - is car still available?) and know someone is interested in it.

PRINT OUT any listing you see for a price guarantee. Manager honored the $13,000 price listing, and not the $15,000 it was currently priced.

TONS of cars in NJ and NY have been flooded out from Hurricane Ida.
Some of these cars may sit and "dry out" for a spell before they are put back on the sales lot.

Get a car now before these lemons hit the market.

But other than that: YAY! My old car had 98,000 miles and this is same make and model, but 2 years newer and 40,000 mileage. I don't drive much so this should last me for 7-8 years I hope.

We have a half dozen used vehicles, ranging from newer to not so much, but very maintained. Desperation is taking hold everywhere, and supply is becoming very limited. Love driving by car dealerships.

I kid you not, I can upgrade current vehicles, sell them at profit to me, to sell on par and exchange, with vehicles I can purchase with lessor miles, and possibly a few years newer. It's like bargain buying, and those that have the goods get the best opportunity.

To be fair, this isn't going to last. It never does. But, if you can use it to your advantage, go for it.

Re: If you're in the market for a car, BUY IT NOW!
saw the writing on the wall start of this year. gas prices on the up no doubt for 4 years minimum.

bought an 08 gen civic ex, great looking car, very good on gas, will probably hit 300k miles with a few minor things to fix on the way. probably paid a small premium over a private sale but it was from a small dealer that bought it off car max so there was a little vetting there.

anyhow, for whatever reason the premium is on trucks why i dont know, most people just commute with them they hardly use them. i reduced my gas costs from a little to basically nothing now, these jap commuters are great
