Some takeaways...

Even poor people did their best to dress appropriately and put their best foot forward. People aspired.

Also, it's uncanny how everyone had a "look" about them. I tend to think it's because of the fractal nature of our universe. All the people alive at that point in time had a certain gene expression captured in their countenance. As do we in this exact point in time. We are just too immersed in the present to recognize it as being unique to right now.

And, lastly, the sheer number of kids running around unsupervised. Many of which had clearly been doing hard labor with soot on their faces. So sad.

And that fist fight...lol!
