Quoting: Dulcius Ex Asperis ----- Afghanistan's new 33-member Taliban government: Full list NEW DELHI: The Taliban on Tuesday formed their interim 'Islamic Emirate' government with 33 members, finally ending the speculation around a new government administration, days after their military victory against the US, which forced it to pull out its troops from Afghanistan. With established hardliners in all key posts, no women were given representation in the administration, despite their previous promises to form an inclusive government for all Afghans. Here is the complete list of the new Taliban cabinet - 1. Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund has been appointed as the Prime Minister. Akhund was a close aide to the group's late founder Mullah Omar and is on a United Nations sanctions list. He was previously the foreign minister and then deputy prime minister during the group's last stint in power from 1996 to 2001. 2. Co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, who oversaw the signing of the US withdrawal agreement in 2020, was appointed deputy prime minister. 3. Molavi Abdul Salam Hanafi is the second deputy prime minister. 4. Molavi Muhammad Yaqoob Mujahid, son of Mullah Omar has been appointed as Minister of Defence. 5. Molavi Siraj udin Haqqani has been appointed as Minister of Interior. 6. Molavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, a Taliban negotiator in Doha as Minister of Foreign Affairs. 7. Mullah Hidayatullah Badri has been appointed as as Minister of Finance. 8. Sheikh Molavi Noorullah Munir is Minister of Education. 9. Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa has been given the post of Minister of Information and Broadcasting. 10. Qari Din Mohammad Hanif is the new Minister of Economic Affairs...
