Trey and Matt realised they either get arkancided for s24 due to what's going on in the world, or just not make it and piss off the fans (most of whom seemed not to think it strange the season never arrived)

the last 5-6 seasons have been spot on with today's times...

Back in the day when that saying came into being, the television landscape was blighted with shows that were completely failing. Despite the length of time it had been on the air, Happy Days was still one of the hightest rated shows on television and the episode in which Fonzi "jumped the shark" was among the highest rated of the series and the highest rated episode on television overall that season. During the episode, the rating actually increased as people tuned in to watch Fonzi on water skis. Overall, the ratings for Happy Days never significantly declined and by the time the series was ended, it's final episode was one of the highest rated television broadcasts in history. It actually still is. All of this to say, that exact same sitution exists on television today, even on streaming services and South Park is the new Happy Days.

I'm waiting on the Ivermectin episode.
